What this is

Specialist capability, by the assignment.

A working aseptic isolator in our Allerod facility, scoped for VHP-related studies, training, and engineering support. Every engagement is quoted as a written proposal. Most are scoped as a study with a defined deliverable.

Ten specialist services

Each scoped as a study, with a written report.

All assignments are run by senior engineers, with the isolator as the platform. Pricing is on request. Each service ladders into the broader Damgaard Solutions portfolio of aseptic isolator filling, environmental monitoring, CQV, qualification, process validation, and technology transfer.

01

VHP D-value and biological indicator studies

Know your biological challenge before entering qualification.

Test programs for understanding VHP resistance before qualification. Useful for teams developing or refining a VHP cycle, comparing indicator suppliers, or validating biological indicator selection against enzyme indicators.

  • Biological indicator resistance testing
  • Enzyme indicator testing and verification against biological indicators
  • VHP cycle development support
  • VHP exposure studies
  • Seeding tests

Typical assignments
  • BioTrak interference studies
  • Testing of customer materials for false positives
  • Testing of plastics, gloves, packaging, cleaning agents and process materials

03

Isolator operator training

Train operators on a real working isolator before production risk begins.

Hands-on training in a working aseptic isolator for operators, engineers and quality teams. Designed for teams preparing for qualification, requalification, or first production runs.

Typical assignments
  • Practical sterile handling inside an isolator
  • Glove handling and transfer procedures
  • Operator training before qualification or production
  • Biological indicator placement training
  • Simulated aseptic process execution
  • Annex 1 awareness training
  • Training for production, validation and quality assurance teams
04

Smoke study pre-testing and airflow visualization

Prepare your airflow visualization before entering the cleanroom.

Preparation and method development before performing formal smoke studies in production equipment. Used by validation teams who need to rehearse smoke generation, camera setup, and critical-area assessment before going on a production unit.

Important. This isolator may not represent a full production unidirectional airflow setup. This service is sold as pre-testing, training, and method development. It is not full GMP airflow qualification.
Typical assignments
  • Smoke study pre-test
  • Airflow visualization practice
  • Smoke generation method development
  • Camera setup and video documentation
  • Assessment of critical areas
  • Operator impact assessment
  • Preparation before customer smoke studies
05

Catalyst capacity testing and reactivation

Understand whether your catalyst is still protecting your cycle time.

Testing and restoring H2O2 catalyst performance after exposure to VHP, smoke studies, or filter integrity testing. For maintenance, quality assurance, and supplier dialogue when aeration times start drifting.

Typical assignments
  • H2O2 catalyst capacity test
  • Aeration performance assessment
  • Catalyst test before and after smoke studies
  • Test after oil-based or glycol-based filter integrity testing
  • Assessment of deactivated catalysts
  • Reactivation feasibility test
  • Comparison of aeration curves before and after treatment
  • Technical report for maintenance, quality assurance or supplier dialogue
06

Nozzle and VHP spray performance testing

Verify spray performance before reinstalling critical VHP components.

Functional testing of VHP spray nozzles after service, repair, or upgrade. Used to confirm the spray pattern and distribution before putting refurbished components back into the production cycle.

Typical assignments
  • Test run of L6 DecoPulse nozzles
  • Spray pattern verification
  • Function test after refurbishment
  • Comparison before and after service
  • Troubleshooting of uneven VHP distribution
  • Documented function test before reinstallation
07

Equipment rental with engineering support

Rent the capability, not just the instrument.

Short-term access to specialist equipment, combined with senior engineering support. For teams who need an instrument plus the protocol plus the report, on-site or off-site.

Typical assignments
  • BioTrak rental with test support
  • Particle counter rental
  • Viable monitoring equipment rental
  • Lighthouse or Particle Measuring Systems equipment support
  • Short-term feasibility studies
  • Equipment plus protocol plus report
  • On-site or off-site support for customer engineers
08

Pre-pilot aseptic filling and process familiarization

Run the process before the process becomes GMP-critical.

Low-risk process testing before entering a GMP-critical production environment. Useful for new product introductions, line transfers, and operator readiness reviews.

Typical assignments
  • Pre-pilot filling in sterile surroundings
  • Fill simulation and training fill
  • Mock-up filling studies
  • Process familiarization
  • Transfer and handling test
  • Operator flow and material flow assessment
  • Engineering report with observations and recommendations
09

Annex 1 readiness and documentation support

Turn Annex 1 expectations into practical engineering actions.

Technical support for translating Annex 1 expectations into practical isolator and aseptic process requirements. For project teams and quality assurance preparing for or responding to Annex 1 audits.

Technical seminars and specialist workshops

Technical seminars for teams who need to understand the test before approving the result.

Specialist seminars for teams working with VHP, isolators, biological indicators, and rapid microbiological methods. Delivered at our facility or on-site.

Possible seminar topics
  • Biological indicators versus enzyme indicators
  • D-value determination and VHP resistance
  • BioTrak interference
  • Practical isolator qualification
  • Smoke study preparation
  • Catalyst deactivation after smoke studies
  • Annex 1 and aseptic isolator operation
  • Common VHP cycle development mistakes
How it works

Three steps to a scoped study.

01

You tell us the problem.

A short scoping conversation or a written brief. We need to understand what you are trying to learn, by when, and what regulatory frame the output will live in.

02

We send a written proposal.

Scope, deliverables, named engineer, timeline, price, and terms. Quoted as a written proposal, not a per-hour estimate. Reply within two business days.

03

We deliver the study and the report.

Senior engineer in the room. Engineering report signed by name. Raw data exports. Annex 1 interpretation where relevant. Integrate into your CCS or your URS.

FAQ

The questions we hear most often.

What does a typical assignment cost?

Every engagement is quoted as a written proposal scoped to the work. Pricing depends on the service, the number of operators, duration, consumables, and reporting depth. We reply within two business days.

Do you offer sterility testing?

No. We do not operate a sterility testing laboratory or quality system for that purpose. We offer pre-sterility feasibility studies, aseptic process simulation, contamination risk pre-testing, and related engineering services on a working aseptic isolator.

Can our team run the isolator without your engineer on site?

Self-run assignments are possible for teams with documented operator qualifications. Our senior engineer reviews competency before the booking confirms. A damage deposit applies.

What about GMP and Annex 1 compliance?

The isolator is a working engineering asset. Engagements deliver engineering studies and qualification evidence, not GMP-released production. Clients integrate the output into their own quality system, with our reports as documented evidence.

What materials are allowed?

An approved-materials list is shared on quote. Standard consumables (gloves, gowns, biological indicators, chemical indicators, wipes, common solvents) are accepted. Aggressive chemistry, controlled substances, cannabis materials, and unapproved decontamination chemistries are excluded.

Where is the isolator located?

Allerod, near Copenhagen. Easy reach from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Direct rail from central Copenhagen. Approximately 30 minutes from Copenhagen Airport.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Standard lead time is 3 to 4 weeks. Faster turnarounds are possible when the calendar allows. Rush bookings inside 7 days are quoted at a premium.

Can I film or photograph during my assignment?

Yes, with prior notice. Most clients film their own smoke study pre-tests and training. Damgaard Solutions retains rights to use anonymized images for marketing unless the client opts out in writing.

Want a one-page summary to share internally?

The capability brief covers the ten services, the asset, and what a typical engagement looks like. Send it to a colleague, attach it to a procurement memo, or bring it to your next planning meeting.
